Zakopane once again kicks off the holidays with 'Summer with Radio and Polish Television'
On July 4, 2026, Zakopane will become the summer capital of Poland. The nationwide tour 'Summer with Radio and Polish Television' will traditionally kick off the summer season in our city. This special event will combine concert excitement, family fun, and educational activities in the urban space – all in the rhythm of summer and with the energy that comes from experiencing music, media, and culture outdoors.
“Summer with Radio and Polish Television” is a series of large-scale concerts and family events organized in various cities across Poland. This year, the tour will once again visit Zakopane.
We’ll meet on July 4th:
• at 12:00 PM on Górna Rówień Krupowa – at the Polish Radio educational picnic,
• at 8:00 PM on Dolna Rówień Krupowa – at the concert broadcast live on TVP2.
The biggest stars of Polish music will appear on the Zakopane stage, including Justyna Steczkowska, Majka Jeżowska, Reni Jusis, Afromental, Brathanki, Piersi, Universe, Organek, Dominik Dudek, and Weronika Korthals. Local artists from Zakopane will also perform – Basia Giewont and Staszek Karpiel-Bułecka.
The concert will be hosted by Bartosz Cebeńko, Ula Kaczyńska, Grzegorz Dobek, and Mateusz Jędraś. A Polish Radio Zone will be set up on Górna Rówień Krupowa, inviting everyone to a full day of summer fun! At 12:00 PM, the educational picnic "Taken from Life" will begin. Participants can look forward to a rich program full of interactive science experiments and attractions for the whole family. On the picnic stage, there will be numerous activities for both children and adults. Among the prepared attractions will be the game "AUDIONAUTS," which will take participants on a virtual journey through the galactic labyrinth of the Polish Radio archives.
Puzzle lovers will be able to test their detective skills in an extraordinary Escape Room. The program also includes numerous contests, a wheel of fortune, team games, a car driving simulator, a photo booth, a 360 photo booth, the chance to win Jedynka gadgets, this year’s Lato z Radiem mascot, and dance classes led by an instructor. At Jedynka’s intergenerational radio dance, the excellent Lazy Swing Band will perform. During the Picnic, you’ll hear a set by DJ Sarnula, whose viral remix of "Polki Dziadek" gained massive popularity online.
We also invite you to watch and listen to programs broadcast straight from Zakopane. Joining us will be: "Pytanie na Śniadanie" (TVP2), TVP Info with the program "Polska na TAK!", and the outdoor studio of Polish Radio, featuring shows like the iconic "Lato z Radiem," hosted by Roman Czejarek and Dagmara Kowalska, as well as "Muzyczne Lato z Radiem" with the music column "Historia Jednej Piosenki" by Marcin Wojciechowski.
