Redyk Jesienny – Important Information

On October 11th, a flock of sheep led by a head shepherd (*baca*) and his assistants (*juhasi*) will make its way through Zakopane. If you plan to join us along the route of this traditional sheep drive (*redyk*), we have some important information for you.
This is a unique event, but above all, it involves real work by both people and animals. Let’s work together to ensure their safety and comfort.

WHERE AND WHEN?
11:30 AM – Start at the shepherd’s hut in Kuźnice

The route of the sheep drive:
Kuźnice → Karłowicza Street → Droga na Koziniec → Droga na Antałówkę → Bachledzki Wierch → Antałówka
Around 12:30 PM – Conclusion at Antałówka, near the church.

If you would also like to see the traditional rituals marking the end of the pastoral season, it is worth arriving in Kuźnice before the procession begins.
LEAVE YOUR DOGS AT HOME

Please do not bring your own dogs to the event. The presence of other animals can cause stress for the sheep and the herding dogs.
And a few more important rules:
- do not pet or feed the sheep or dogs;
- do not step in among the animals;
- do not hinder the work of the shepherds and the event staff securing the route;
- do not use devices that emit loud, sharp sounds.

Please also follow the instructions of the event staff and security personnel.

PLANNING TO USE A DRONE?
Remember that the sheep drive begins within the Tatra National Park, where drone flights are prohibited. In all other areas, any drone flight must be reported to the organizer and registered in the DroneTower app, in accordance with applicable regulations.

AND ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING
During the *redyk* (ceremonial sheep drive), you will have the opportunity to support Andrzejek—the youngest member of the Bartuś Obrochta Regional Group. Donation boxes will be available at the event for voluntary contributions.
Thank you for joining us in ensuring the safety of the animals, respecting the work of the shepherds and their helpers, and preserving the unique character of this event.

See you along the route!
