Corpus Christi in Zakopane 2026 – processions, tradition, and the unique atmosphere of the city under the Tatras
The Feast of Corpus Christi is one of the most special days in the liturgical calendar and a beautiful opportunity to see Zakopane in an exceptionally solemn version. On Thursday, June 4, traditional Eucharistic processions will take place through the streets of the town, accompanied by highlander costumes, regional decoration, and the shared celebration of residents and visitors to Podhale.
It is a day when the center of Zakopane and its various districts fill with prayer, singing, and a unique atmosphere. For tourists, it is also an opportunity to learn about local traditions and participate in one of the most important holidays celebrated in Podhale.
▪️Holy Family Sanctuary in Zakopane
9:30 AM – Solemn Concelebrated Holy Mass
After the Mass, the Eucharistic procession will proceed along Krupówki and Zamoyskiego streets to the Holy Cross Church.
▪️Our Lady of Fatima Sanctuary in Krzeptówki
10:00 AM – Solemn Holy Mass
Afterwards, a Eucharistic procession to the four altars in the Fatima Park will take place.

Immediately after the Mass, the Eucharistic procession will proceed along Karłowicza and Balzera streets.
The first altar, near the cross in the church square, will be prepared by First Communion children and their parents.
The second altar, near the Witkiewicz chapel, will be prepared by the Living Rosary community.
The third altar will be located on the grounds of the KBK Hospital.

9:00 AM – Holy Mass
After the Eucharist, a solemn procession to four altars will begin.
The first altar near the school will be prepared by the Harenda and Rafaczówki neighborhoods;
the second altar near the Lewiatan store by the Ustup and Spyrkówka neighborhoods;
the third altar in Guty by the Guty and Bachledy neighborhoods;
and the fourth altar near the “Anusia” shop by the Króle and Zwijacze neighborhoods.

8:00 AM – Holy Mass at the first altar in the Frąckówka estate – Kościuszki 41
The following altars will be located at Kościuszki 67A, Stachonie 17, and the final altar inside the church.
After the procession, Holy Mass will be celebrated in the church.

11:30 AM – Holy Mass
After the Eucharist, a procession to four altars prepared by parish families will begin.
The first altar will be hosted by the Kukuc family, the second by the Jędrol family, the third by the Topór-Futer family, and the fourth altar will be inside the church.
