All Saints’ Day in Zakopane 2026 — Mass Times, Cemeteries and Road Closures

In 2026, All Saints’ Day, 1 November, falls on a Sunday, while All Souls’ Day, 2 November, falls on a Monday. These are days for visiting graves, remembering loved ones and praying together. For visitors to the Tatras, they also offer an opportunity to learn about people whose lives helped shape Zakopane.

Before setting out, check service times and plan your journey. Some churches will follow a special Mass schedule, and heavier pedestrian and vehicle traffic is expected around the cemeteries.

Traffic Restrictions in Zakopane — Nowotarska Street Closures and Diversions

The main disruption is expected near the cemetery on Nowotarska Street. Police are planning a temporary, complete closure of the section between Rondo Solidarności and the junction with Sienkiewicza Street.

Final decisions will be made according to pedestrian and vehicle traffic levels at the time.

Normal traffic arrangements are scheduled to resume after 22:00 on 2 November.

  • Allow extra time, particularly before services begin.
  • Consider walking from your accommodation if the distance is short.
  • If travelling by bus, check the current timetable and service updates.
  • Follow road signs and instructions from police and municipal guards.
  • Wear reflective items after dark to help drivers see you.
Before travelling, check Zakopane’s latest municipal announcements and public transport information. Service times should also be checked against the latest announcements from your chosen parish.
